Doornweerd is 5-foot-10, 180-pounds with an average build. He shows soft hands and good rhythm with his feet in the field that help give him good momentum towards first base. In the batter’s box, he uses a toe tap and does well with keeping his bat through the hitting zone while creating good separation for a good contact swing. He had an infield velocity of 74 mph with an exit velocity of 85 mph. From a high-3/4 arm slot, he has a repeatable delivery and does a good job of driving towards home plate with his lower half. He sat 75-77 mph with his fastball that had some run and his curveball was 65-69 mph with 11/5 break. He threw his 72-73 mph changeup with the same arm speed as his fastball.
