Markules is a 6-foot-1, 175 pound projectable prospect with a lean frame. Sets up a the plate with a tall, balanced stance using a smooth hand load with minimal leg movement. Turns well with his back leg making solid contact. At 3B shows good lateral mobility while galloping prior to throwing 78 mph across the diamond. Pitches with a clean motion delivering over the top. Fastball sat 75-80 mph with some late run, 12/6 curve 69-71 mph, tight late breaking 72-73 mph slider and 71-72 mph change up.

Markules has a 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame. Swings with a tall stance and a small load while making contact. His exit velocity was 73 mph and he ran the 60-yard dash in 7.76. On the infield, he fields the ball out front and uses his feet to create momentum with his throws. His velocity across the diamond was 72 mph. On the mound, he throws from a high-3/4 arm slot with an easy arm action. His fastball sat 75-79 mph with some run while his breaking ball had 12/6 break to it and sat 66-67 mph. His slider was tight at 67 mph and his changeup had some fade at 68-69 mph.
