Donovan Heugh: LHP/1B, (2024) Dakota, MI. 5-foot-11, 175-pound. (73.3 mph bat speed average). (19.9 mph hand speed average). Began in an open athletic stance with a quick high load, then used a leg kick closed. Had a short level swing plane, explosive flashed bat speed and high finish. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Gap to gap line drive approach. Smooth solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 78 mph; has a clean natural exchange, soft hands, and athletic feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Smooth athletic on the mound, showed a ¾ arm angle and a compact consistent arm action with good consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses high effort. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands open with an athletic finish. Shows control in the zone and running action with tight movement.
