Jaxon Huffman: RHP/3B, (2023) Mona Shores, MI. 6-foot-1, 205-pound. Projectable in the box, Huffman had an exit velocity of 93 mph. (70.3 mph bat speed average). (22.8 mph hand speed average). Began in a tall narrow stance with a compact controlled load, then used a toe tap stride. Had an upward swing plane, present bat speed and good extension on his finish. He barreled up lots of balls throughout his round. Aggressive approach. Solid showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 91 mph; had consistent footwork, sure hands, and a natural fluid exchange. Uses his glove out front. Confident advanced on the mound, showed a ¾ arm angle and a loose quick arm action with quick electric arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Showed consistent balance point and falling off shoulders. Lands soft with recoil finish. Slider (73-74 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 90-92 mph; shows running action and arm side command. (Max spin 2076; Avg 1935). His sharp 10/4 curveball (75-77) has in the zone command. (Max spin 2186; Avg 2154). Showed deceiving action and down in the zone command on his changeup (83-84).

Hit: (RHH) Projectable. Begins in a tall narrow stance with a compact controlled load, then uses a toe tap stride. Present bat speed. Good extension on his finish, upward swing. Aggressive approach.
Power: 93 mph exit velocity, average 86.6 mph. 70.3 mph bat speed average. 22.8 mph hand speed average.
Defense: (IF) Sure hands, consistent footwork, natural fluid exchange. Solid. Glovework was used out front.
Arm: 91 mph infield velocity.
Pitching: Confident advanced. Drop-and-drive delivery, easy effort. ¾ arm angle, quick electric arm speed, loose quick arm action. Consistent balance point, falling off shoulders, lands soft, recoil finish.
FB: T92. 90-92 mph. (Max spin 2076; Avg 1935). Arm side accuracy, running action.
CB: 75-77 mph. In the zone control, sharp 10/4 movement. (Max spin 2186; Avg 2154).
CH: 83-84 mph. Down in the zone command, deceiving action.
SL: 73-74 mph. (Max spin 2334; Avg 2271).

Hitting: Narrow set up at the plate showing the ability to get his hips through the zone with some pop at the plate. Two hand swinger that worked the pull side.
Pitching: On the mound has a polished delivery he repeats each time. Generates power from his lower body driving well off the mound. Throws from a high 3/4 arm angle with a slight head jerk. Fastball worked the lower half of the zone with some sink. Fastball sat 76- 78mph Curve with a sideways spin 63-66 mph.
