Hands stay inside the ball as well as his shoulders and hips staying closed. He attacks the ball with full extension. Exit velocity 83mph, and his home to first time was 5 flat.
Pitching - Rich stands 6-foot-1, 245-pounds with a thicker frame. On the mound he uses a high knee lift, hands by his head. Arm action is back near 2B but shorter, shows quick hand speed. Throws from a high-3/4 slot, fastball sits 79 mph, finishes with head even with front knee.
