The 6-foot-2, 165-pound athlete was one of two 2014 prospects invited to attend the inaugural Top Prospect Event. While he may be young, the talented outfielder from Cincinnati held his own amongst his older peers. He has a tall, lanky build that will surely fill out in time. He registered a time of 7.1 with the 60-yard dash. In the outfield, the right-handed throwing prospect uses a long and loose throwing action that registered 82 mph. At the plate, Mahan shows a quiet confidence. He uses a long stride, smooth load, and short, uphill path to the ball to generate pull power to right field.

Good baseball sense. Starting third baseman as a sophomore for DI state championship team loaded with Division I college recruits. Good middle infield range. Likely projects as a third baseman or second baseman in the future. Shows excellent arm strength from all angles and 7.1 60 yard dash. Hits from open stance, squares front side with line drive stroke to all fields.
