MASON, OH - The nightcap game Tuesday night featured two top division I squads.  Prasco Park (home of PBR Ohio's Top Prospect Games) hosted No. 1 ranked Moeller and No. 17 ranked St. Xavier.

Moeller sent left handed pitcher Zach Logue (Kentucky Commit) to the mound, while St. Xavier used senior right handed pitcher Alex Kenner.

Right out of the gate, the Moeller bats were hot.  Kentucky Commit, Riley Mahan got things started for Moeller when he singled up the middle, stole second, and later scored on a Zach Logue (pictured right) single. The Crusaders were able to take a 3-0 lead when unsigned senior Cole Proia stroked a 2 RBI single to left.

St. Xavier was able to get a few runners on by walk and error in the early innings. Unfortunately for the Bombers, Zach Logue settled in and rolled through the first four innings without giving up a hit or a run.

In the top of the fifth, Moeller was able to manufacture two runs thanks to a couple fielding blunders by the Bombers infield.

After 5 2/3 innings of no hit ball, Zach Logue was relieved by sophomore southpaw Nick Bennett. Bennett struggled early as he got into a bases loaded jam, but struck out the final hitter to keep the shutout in tact.

The Crusaders sealed the deal in the top half of the sixth putting up a four spot, stretching their lead to 9-0.

St. Xavier was able to get on the board in the seventh but it was too late, as Moeller came away with an 11-1 victory.
