An all-around solid defensive catcher, Marras is an excellent receiver who demonstrated advanced footwork. His pop times ranged between 2.00-2.10 At the plate, he showed clean hitting mechanics with solid lower-half rotation and backspin carry. The 6-foot, 180-pound Marras showed well on both sides of the ball. At the plate, he used a compact, rotational approach and stayed on top of the ball nicely. Defensively, Marras possesses soft hands and solid footwork with advanced blocking ability. His top pop time was a 2.0. The 6-foot, 180-pound Marras is one of the better receivers in the 2012 class. He has soft hands, good footwork and an accurate arm. His top pop time registered at 2.14. Offensively, Marras has a good plate approach, using a short and compact swing to drive the ball to all fields.
