Uncommitted, Clayton tossed five innings against Milwaukee Reagan where he allowed one hit and a walk while striking out 12 batters in his lone appearance.
Positional Profile: SS/RHP

Delivery: Up tempo, high leg tuck, lands with balance and direction to home, high leg swing finish with good direction to home, repeats.
Arm Action: RH. Medium arc, in-line, high 3/4 slot, quick arm.
FB: T90, 89-90 mph. Life and finish on the fastball, gets it through areas, sinker shows late arm side run. T2143, 2088 average rpm.

The 2024 Future Games participant RHP Jaxon Clayton (Brookfield Central, 2025) showed our staff what he can do with his arm talent on the mound. Clayton is an impressive athlete with a dynamic delivery and very quick arm. His four-seam fastball was driven through areas of the zone at 90 mph showing quality forward life finish through the hitting zone. The sinker also showed late life with boring running action to arm side. The junior also has a cutter at 83 mph with a quick lateral break to it. The slider has a 10/4 shape and break thrown at 77-79 mph and has out pitch quality. Arguably Clayton’s best secondary is the curveball which profiles as an out-pitch weapon with nasty two plane break. He has the ability to control the pitch in and out of the zone for strikes and swing and miss. It was another eye opening performance from Jaxson Clayton and it solidified himself as one of the top talents in the state for the class of 2025.
INF/RHP Jaxon Clayton (Brookfield Central, 2025) had himself a weekend in Franklin, both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Beginning at the plate, Clayton showcased a knack for finding the barrel and becoming a power threat – hitting a home run on Sunday and following it up by nearly leaving the yard on Sunday. His quick hands and added strength to a 6-foot-1, 182-pound frame helped guide Clayton at the plate. On the mound, Clayton worked a fastball in the mid-80s (T86 mph) and presented a mature feel for a sharp breaking ball and cutter. The breaking ball froze batters and generated swings and misses. He utilized the cutter to miss barrels, as the pitch was thrown with fastball intent. Clayton’s weekend was a summary of the success he’s earned on the diamond over the summer, as he sits at No. 18 in the Wisconsin 2025 rankings.
On the mound, Clayton is a controlled mover, working inline to home and also features a clean and continuous arm loop. During his two innings of work, Clayton sat in the 83-86 mph range with his fastball that flashed some heavy sinking action. His breaking ball was also impressive as it ranged in the low-70s with late 11/5 bite and in our previous looks, it has featured over 2,500 RPMs, too. Clayton would earn the win due to his efforts across 2.2 innings of work, in which he held a talented opposition to just one run.
A linear path of improvement has been the key for RHP/INF/OF Jaxon Clayton (Brookfield Central, 2025), as the right-handed athlete was competitive and came out a winner after his time at LakePoint. Clayton, standing at a projectable 6-foot-1, 182-pound frame, didn’t allow a hit in his two separate one-inning outings for Team Wisconsin. After reaching 86 mph on the infield throughout the workout day, Clayton did more of the same, velocity wise, on the mound. He sat in the mid-80s during his time on the bump, but separated himself with a sharp slider. He spun the pitch at a max 2,596 RPM, averaging 2,441 RPM every time he threw it. Opponents had troubles with it as well, as Clayton garnered multiple swings and misses, in addition to weak contact due to its bite. Offensively, the bat produced a max EV of 91.9 mph in the BP session on Wednesday, as Clayton sprays line drives to all portions of the field. His work in live action and throughout the day on Wednesday should continue to warrant attention on the national stage.
PBR Future Games: On both the offensive and defensive end, INF/RHP Jaxon Clayton (Brookfield Central, 2025) solidified himself as a quality athlete after the workout day on Wednesday. The 6-foot-1, 182-pound athlete showcased his improved power over the course of a couple of months, improving his average exit velocity (84.2 mph), batted ball distance (357 feet), and sweet spot % (90). Those numbers, paired with an arm that reached an impressive 86 mph from the shortstop position, were notable within the Team Wisconsin realm throughout the workout. All of this plays into Clayton’s work on the mound, where he’s reached 87 mph in the past, as he looks to showcase his quality actions throughout the three games.
Clayton, who just pitched at this event is listed at an athletic 6-foot-1, 182-pounds and put together his second impressive ‘pen of the winter. While on the mound, Clayton features an athletic, repeatable delivery that produced hard running fastballs up to 87.1 mph, the second highest mark amongst sophomores in attendance and averaged over 12’ of horizontal movement on average. He also threw in a sinker that played with similar metrics, too. As for offspeeds he spun in two different breaking balls, the first being a more traditional curveball that played with depth and averaged over 2200 RPMs, too. His slider was also a well-above average pitch and it played with short 10/4 action with more horizontal action and averaged over 2300 RPMs as well.
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6-1, 182-pounds. Athletic frame, lean.

The 6-foot-1, 182-pound right-hander presents a solid frame with more room to fill out as he advances in his prep career. Clayton’s FB sat 83-85 mph, and reached a max velocity of 86 mph, paired with a fading CH that shows FB actions from the release point. The SL proved to be lethal, as Clayton displayed an advanced feel, painting the corners of the plate repeatedly. The righty also featured one of the only sinkers of the day, thrown at a max velocity of 85 mph with an average of 12.1 inches of horizontal movement. At the plate, the right-handed hitter took a quality round of BP; starting with a barrel tilt, Clayton moves into an uphill path through the zone with bat-speed, maintaining balance through impact with body control.

SS/RHP Jaxon Clayton (Brookfield Central, 2025) put together another quality performance in front of us on the bump on Sunday. The high-waisted 6-foot-1, 178-pound prospect tossed what was, possibly, the most impressive ‘pen of the entire day. From a fluid-moving frame, Clayton works with a slight drop/drive lower-half that remains in-line to the plate when striding out, repeating his delivery consistently. It’s a highly athletic operation that flows efficiently down the mound, creating tremendous arm speed through release from a straight over-the-top slot. The separator in Clayton’s arsenal is his knack for spinning two different breaking balls. His curveball plays from an 11/5 plane and features late, sharp break, kept primarily down with noteworthy depth at 70-72 mph (2,607 rpm on average). He then went to a shorter 10/4 breaking ball, 70-73 mph, also featuring elite spin measured at 2,566 rpm on average. Both showed hard, late action that he threw for strikes at a high rate for a freshman, and the breaking balls play off his fastball especially well. Positionally, Clayton darted his way to a 6.83 in the 60-yard dash early on in his workout and recorded one of the day’s farthest batted balls (344 feet).

5-foot-11, 175 pounds; compact, strong build. Started on the mound for Hitters Navy on Friday night against Cangelosi Sparks North during the PBR at The Rock Championships. Starts centered on the rubber, tempo’d side-step initiates a controlled tall/fall type delivery, upright posture at balance point, level shoulders to footstrike. Works in line to target, lands square with an athletic follow through release. Short arm circle finishes out of a near over-the-top arm slot. Fastball worked on the corners at 75-78 mph, straight action. Curveball flashed swing-and-miss action with downer spin, spotted it up down in the zone, capable of burying it below barrels at a 2,200-plus rpm average. Right-handed hitter, quiet and simple in the box and creates easy jump off the barrel thanks to his strong/quick wrists
5-foot-10, 150-pounds with an athletic frame. Projectable physical maturity. He batted fifth in every game this weekend and played left field, and he made two pitching appearances. On Friday, and sat in the 70-74 mph range both times, while mixing in a tight/sharp breaking ball that he shows advanced feel for. At the plate, he finished his weekend with a line of 3-for-10 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored, two walks, and five RBIs. Right-handed hitter, sets up in a tall and balanced stance with a slight leg lift trigger. His bat travels on a level plane through the zone, and he showed off solid bat speed.
Clayton came on in relief and looked excellent, sitting in the 70-74 mph range with an advanced feel to spin a breaking ball for his age.
