Listed at 5-foot-11, 145 pounds, Cherkowski filled up the bottom of the strike zone during his mound session. He gets over top of his strong front leg very well which allows him to work down in the zone easily. He needs to improve his breaking ball and potentially develop another off-speed pitch to make his fastball better. At the plate he had a quick swing that produced line drives and an exit velocity of 79 mph.
