PBR SPOTLIGHT VIDEO
River Pecina
2025 OF, Penn HS: A 5-foot-10, 165 pound centerfielder filled with quick twitch - Pecina offers the potential to stick in CF long-term due to an advanced run-tool. Pecina can really run underway and the tool translates to the offensive side of the ball, as well. The right-handed hitting outfielder hits out of a wide, balanced setup and uses a small stride with a quiet load of the hands in order to consistently get on time. The twitch is evident in the way that Pecina turns the barrel, getting on-plane deep in the hitting zone with quick bat speed. There is some present gap power, however Pecina fits more of the mold of a top-of-the-lineup, contact-oriented catalyst.
