His offensive setup consisted of a wide balanced stance and a short stride to get the swing started. He exhibits nice bat speed while showing an upward swing plane and high finish. In the outfield, his best throw to the plate topped out at 79 mph, showing nice, rhythmic footwork and a natural exchange. Athletic outfielder that has continued to progress and make strides over the last year and a half.
5-foot-10, 146-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Walker recorded an exit velocity of 81 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a leg kick to start his swing. Bat speed is explosive, and has good extension on his finish. Created loud contact during the round. Pull side approach. Above average in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 78 mph; had a clean exchange and rhythmic footwork. Had an-over-the-top slot and a loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.23. Really like how this '23 has progressed of late.
Versatile player that went through the workout as both an infielder and an outfielder. On the dirt, he showed nice lateral range and did a nice job presenting the glove out in front. The feet worked well in both the IF and OF and he was 72 mph across the infield and 73 mph from the OF. In the OF, he showed a clean arm path as his throws stayed on line to the plate. A good bit of athleticism exhibited defensively at both spots. At the plate, he showed some quick twitch actions in the hands from a slightly open stance. There was slight tilt in the bat path and he showed a mostly pull side approach with some pop off the barrel.
