Dobson has a nice and simple approach at the plate with rhythm in his upright stance. He has a level swing through the zone and is able to spray line drives to all fields. Behind the plate, Dobson showed some smoothness in his throws down to second base and was able to get the ball consistently around the bag in the 2.15-2.4 range. At times in his throws, he reaches out to get the ball then transfers instead of letting the ball get deep which could lead to some better recordings in his throws down to 2B.
