At the plate, Hughes keeps his hands inside the ball and gets into his back hip well in his load leading to a repeatable forward move. He occasionally drops his hands and creates a long swing while matching the plane in the backside, leading to a 69% plane efficiency via Blast Motion. Athletic and quick on his feet, there are tons of traits to like about Matt. Defensively he comes through the ball well for his age in the outfield, and has a great base of fundamental skill and will be aided the most by his natural growth through maturation.
