5-foot-10 150-pounds. The crafty lefty has thrown well this fall. He was up against his toughest lineup yet in the quarter final game. FB worked up to 82. He sat 76-79 with complete command of his FB. He was not afraid to challenge guy inside and up with the heater. Had a good CB at 67-69 that he used to keep hitters off balance. He forced contact against powerful lineup, and had success in getting ground ball and flyball outs.

10/01/19

5-foot-10 155 pounds. The junior lefthander was an intriguing arm from the weekend as he showed deceptive mechanics (a lot of up and down movements before arm swing) plus a low ¾ arm slot that created a lot of trouble for hitters on the weekend, especially lefties. Jones mixed pitches the entire day and you never really knew as a hitter what was coming from him; he featured a 77-80 mph 2-seam fastball to go along with a 68-69 mph slider and a 66 change that he flashed a couple times. He hammered the fastball to both sides of the plate while throwing the breaking ball mainly glove side and just being flat competitive all day.
