Georgia’s 2025 class is littered with shortstops holding SEC/ACC commitments, and Clemson commit Dax Kilby is making a chance to stand out among his peers early this spring. Utilizing - simple approach from the left-side, Kilby works out of wider base with a small stride. Stays extremely compact with ability to manipulate the barrel and keep his weight in his back hip forever. Two-strike approach is advanced and stood out in multiple scenarios, including a pull-side 2-run double and hard hit ball up-the-middle for another knock. Athletic actions in the dirt with a vacuum for a glove and above-average lateral range. Arm strength to make any throw needed, and rarely looks out of control on any play. The Newnan shortstop will be a very-high follow for the spring and heading into this summer.
