8/11/2018- Peach State Games
This kid continues to barrel baseballs.  He is strong with a simple set-up and is short to the baseball. His bat-speed produces gap to gap type power, and posted an exit velo of 85. Defensively his arm fits best at secondbase and he has good hands and feet around the bag. On top of being a reliable infielder, he is also a good enough athlete to fit in the outfield. Giving him added versatility. Barnes turned  in a 6.82 60 yard dash at the North Georgia Trials earlier in the summer. This is the second time we have hosted Barnes at an event, and he does nothing but hit lasers and catch the baseball. Great student and workmanlike demeanor.
 
6/19/2018- North Georgia Trials 
At 5-foot-10 165-pounds, Barnes has a compact strong body. Defensively he shows solid up the middle actions, with short compact movements and soft hands. He also posses an accurate arm with a quick release. He runs well, turning in a 6.82 60 time at the event. At the plate Barnes produces consistent contact by hitting out of a straight away set-up and good feel for the barrel. Displaying plenty of bat-speed (85 exit velo), and an all fields approach that produces line drive, after line drive. Barnes is a good athlete with solid all around baseball player actions and will bring versatility to a team at the next level.
