'21 Northstar Ben Meuser who is a long and lanky first baseman showed some tools with the bat. A deep fly ball into a stiff wind. Pop in the barrel and bat speed that generates some lift through the swing.
6-foot-4, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.21 runner. Square stance, easy load, inconsistent timing, has leverage in swing, shows line drive pop when on time, good use of lower half in swing, 81 mph exit velocity. Solid athlete in field, sure hands, works through ball, fields deep occasionally, solid receiver around bag, 70 mph arm across infield. On mound; tall balance point, short bow and arrow arm action, solid extension out front with short arm path across body. Fastball was 72-74 mph with varying action to the plate. Lands 12/6 breaking ball for strikes with solid depth. Changeup is straight with avg. action to plate.
