Clean bat path with consistent hard line drives to the gaps. Above average outfielder with arm strength. Throws 89 mph with strong accuracy and carry to target. Easy actions on mound with ability to repeat. Shows solid run on fastball at 82-85 mph; with above avg. command to glove-side of plate. Breaking ball has tight rotation, short break, and above avg. depth at plate. Above avg. arm-side run and fade on changeup. Riser in 2017 rankings.
3/20/16- 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #37 ranked player in MN 2017 class. 7.34 runner at this event. Athletic compact build. Defined lower half. Swings with intent, stays connected, short to contact, creates above avg. bat speed, gap to gap approach and stays on baseball through contact. 91 mph exit velocity. Good footwork and actions, also has ability as an infielder, right-field tools, well above avg. carry and accuracy to target with 88 mph arm from OF. Level head and shoulders in delivery, clean compact arm action, solid extension to plate. Solid life on fastball at 84-86 mph, repeats well in zone, and has varying run and cut. Slider shape on breaking ball, thrown with good arm speed, early break, lands in zone for strikes. Late run on firm changeup at 76-79 mph. One of better 2-way players in state, tools continue to improve, and is a strong follow in the 2017 class.

Loose hands to baseball. Flashes hard line drive contact. 84 mph exit velocity off tee. Shows quick twitch athleticism on defense. Glove and feet are above average. Long quick arm action producing 84 mph throws across infield and 85 mph throws from outfield. Athletic delivery on mound. Explodes to plate with long clean arm action. Late run on fastball at 78-81 mph. Curveball is above average with tight rotation, 11/5 shape, and sharp break. Heavy arm side sink and run on changeup. Kline’s overall performance pushed him to #37 in 2017 rankings with good chance of him climbing higher in the coming months.
