Elisha Merkle: C/RHP, (2022) DIberville, MS. 5-foot-10, 180-pound sturdy frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 82 mph. Began in a wide stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride to initiate his swing. Upward swing plane. Barreled up some balls during the round. Gap to gap approach. While catching, recorded pop times of 2.01-2.01, throw downs to second were maxed at 74 mph; has athletic quick feet, sure hands and a clean exchange. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 8.25.
5’10” 172 lbs. D’Iberville High School 2022. A catcher with a quick transfer and good hands, produced accurate throws. Offensively had a short and level bat path. Smooth load with a short stride and good balance that helped with gap to gap power.
