6-foot, 172-pound lean frame, has added some good weight since our last look. The left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 82 mph (tee). Began in an open tall stance with a smooth load, and longer stride. Showed a slightly uphill swing plane and quick bat speed, and he ended his swing with level finish. Behind the plate, had a pop time of 2.07-2.19. He recorded a position velocity of 72 mph during throw downs; had a quick exchange, sure hands and athletic footwork. Some flexibility and an athletic setup. Had a quick consistent arm action and an-over-the-top slot. He recorded a time of 7.71 in the 60-yard dash
5/18/19
Medium build and sturdy lower half. Room for additional maturation and development in the upper body. Slightly open stance and soft stride back to parallel. Short hand load turns the barrel slightly at foot strike. Bat falls onto plane with a lofted path. Showed tendencies of getting into and out of the zone quickly. Avg glove skills, works well on balls at and around the zone. Inconsistent with pitches at the edge of the zone.
11.10.18
6 foot proportional frame. Frame has upside if he can develop the upper body. Stance is outside the shoulders with most of the weight on the backside. Back elbow is held at the same level as the back shoulder and the barrel is set behind the head. Load pushes the barrel further behind the head and the stride is closed. Pull side heavy rounds of BP. Exit velo 64. Low set-up in the crouch with confident hands and transfer with a quick release. Vertical posture on the throw. Worked as a C only at the event but could also play 2B or 3B in the future.
