Elijah Wenger, Maryville High School (TN), 2028 Positional Profile: SS/RHP Body: 5-10, 136-pounds. Lean build that should continue to add mass as he matures. Delivery: Starts 1st base side with athletic stride down the mound with some cross-fire action down the slope. Repeats delivery really well. Could block better as he falls forward and can spin off his pitches at times. Arm Action: RH. Short arm-action hiding the ball well out of hand. FB: Fastball works well in the lower half of the zone, while playing to both sides of the plate. Longer arm path that works from a high 3/4 slot. SL: 56-60 mph. Slider carries some depth and tunnled horizontal spin out of hand that should offer both swing in zone with put away potential. T1979, 1874 average rpm. CH: 65-67 mph. Still developing pitch as it shows hoppy out of hand, while carrying higher spin. Occasional cut but does a good job of keeping arm speed the same as FB. T1533, 1459 average rpm. ATH: 7.50 runner in the 60. 7.50 in the30 yard split.

Elijah Wenger, Maryville High School (TN), 2028 Positional Profile: SS/RHP Body: 5-10, 136-pounds. Lean build that should continue to add mass as he matures. Hit: RHH. Neutral shoulder width stance, his hands begin relaxed at his rear shoulder. When the swing begins his hands extend back into a loaded position with some closing off of the shoulders. Shows the ability to create stretch at present with a small move forward with the front side. Swing launches off the back leg with a balanced finish. Bat turns behind the body well, and stays in the zone for a long time. Replaces the shoulders well and creates good extension in front of the body. Hits the ball hard for the strength he has that will increase greatly in the coming years.
Arm: RH. INF-61 mph. Repeatable and easy actions across the diamond. Defense: Early glove presentation with developing actions. Good footwork working to the baseball with smooth transistion into his throw. ATH: 7.50 runner in the 60. 7.50 in the30 yard split.
