9/29/13 Gavin came into the event nursing a knee injury, but still impressed with his potential. The 6-foot, 185-pound uncommitted senior has an athletic frame and displayed good carry on throws of 77 mph across the infield without the ability to plant on his injured knee. The right-handed hitter has very quick hands at the plate and the ball jumps off his bat head with a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. Gavin barreled the baseball in all four trips to the plate and finished the day 1-for-4 in game action.
