6/23/14 Popluhar is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitter that displayed the ability to use all fields from a square stance during his round of batting practice. He barreled the baseball routinely with a lift and replace stride foot and registered a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. Popluhar showcased the ability to play the baseball on the move with an accurate 76 mph arm across the diamond. The righty sat 77-79 out of a high 3/4 arm slot during his bullpen session. Popluhar also showcased a 68 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed with some cut action as well as a 65 mph curveball with 12/6 rotation.
