Will Michalski allowed one earned run on three hits while striking out 10 in five innings for the Mustangs. Ryan Magee had two hits and two RBI and Nick Stricker scored three runs in the victory.
No. 4 O’Fallon 3, Belleville East 0
Hayden Juenger pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk to win it for O’Fallon. Joe Guithues drove in two of the three runs. Ben Cruikshank allowed a run on five hits while striking out nine in five innings for East.
Belleville West 4, No. 6 Edwardsville 3
Andrew Yancik, Isaac Garrett and Dan Picchioti limited Belleville West to four hits, but Edwardsville managed just three of its own to lose for the first time after opening the season with nine consecutive victories.
No. 18 Huntley 4, Crystal Lake Central 0
Cameron Reed and Brad Model hooked up on the three-hit shutout. Matt Rodriguez went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run for the Red Raiders.
