Joe Vascik and Angel Sandoval combined on the shutout. Sandoval allowed two hits in four innings in relief of Vascik, who yielded four hits in three innings. Jimmy Burnette had an RBI double and came home on Zach Verta’s single as the Vikings posted both runs in the bottom of the fourth.
No. 2 Mundelein 10, Zion-Benton 0
Zach Zentz struck out six in four innings of two-hit ball, Jeff Morton homered and Brendan Murphy went 2-for-2 with three RBI for the Mustangs.
No. 3 St. Charles North 8, Batavia 1
Anthony Delisi and Steve Hamer had two hits and two RBI apiece for the North Stars. Ryan Litavecz and Tim Hasto combined on a four-hitter in the victory.

Joe Guithues had a two-run double as O’Fallon broke open a scoreless the with four in the bottom of the sixth. Logan Boente allowed five hits in six innings to earn the win and Jaysn Miller recorded the final three outs.
