As we prepare for our 2014 high school season coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

Matthew Kruer, SS/RHP, 2015 (.337, 16 RBI, 41 IP, 2.18 ERA)

OUTLOOK:

The Rebels offense will again be led by junior Neil DeNicola who will be making the transition from OF to catcher this spring. Another pair of juniors, Matthew Kruer and Brady Schmidt will look to set the table for DeNicola at the top of the batting order and give him plenty of RBI opportunities.  On the mound, senior Zach Davis will be the No. 1 with Kruer settling into the closer role.  Atherton is coming off winning the 27th District Championship and a first round loss to Male in the 7th Region Tournament. Look for the Rebels to once again be competitive in the District and the 7th Region.
