OUTLOOK:  

Returning seven starters from last season, Elgin looks to make improvements and contend for a district title.  Unsigned senior Sam Hardin is receiving some interest from multiple DII/DIII schools, and will serve as the starting catcher for the Comets.  Junior Bryston Williams had plenty of success last year hitting in the leadoff spot, and will be the Comets top left handed bat.  Serving as essential parts to the rotation are Senior CJ Flach (posted a 1.6 ERA in 2013), and Junior right hander Cantyn Belmer who possesses an intimidating projectable frame (6-5, 180 pounds).  The MOAC conference looks to be strong this season with the likes of Jonathan Alder, Pleasant, and Highland.
