Grant Russell  RHP/3B, 2014 ...  Played on varsity as a freshman. .330 hitter over his career. Career 3.83 ERA. Also started as quarterback on school's football team.
Jeff Sliker, RHP/OF, 2014 ... Good athlete that can pitch and play outfield. Has been clocked in the 90s on his fastball. Has a no-hitter to his credit.
Darius Shackelford, OF/P, 2015 ... Versatile athlete that can play outfield or pitch. Also started as a receiver on the school's football team.
Trevor Mye, RHP/IF, 2015 ... Pitched out of the bullpen as a sophomore for varsity. Also used as a middle infielder.
Zac Dixon, 3B/OF, 2015 ... Can play the infield or the outfield. Expected to be a starter in 2014.
Michael Long, OF, 2014 ... Has a live arm from the outfield with good accuracy.

OUTLOOK:  

Newark went 8-20 in 2013 and are in the process of rebuilding. Despite being in the process of a rebuild, Newark has talent that can help the team now while allowing younger talent to develop. They will also have Grant Russell, who didn't play in 2013, back on the team for his senior year.
