As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

TOP PLAYERS

Ryan Reed, C/OF, 2014 ... Unsigned senior that coach Barnum feels can play at the next level. Hit .529, 3 HR, 9 2B, 27 RBI, 25 R, 25 SB last season. He has size, speed, potential to hit for power, and has a good arm.
Noah Asmus, 3B/RHP, 2014 ... Hardworking kid who is the table setter for the Bulldogs.
Ryan Niese, SS, 2015 ... Niese is a confident player who knows the game very well.
Erik Davis, UTIL, 2016 ... Started all but two games as a freshman. The 6-foot 180 pound sophomore has a chance to become a very talented ballplayer.
Marty Linthicum, RHP, 2015 ... 6-foot-4 RHP who has pitched at the varsity level since his freshman year. Needs to continue to develop his offspeed pitches and get better with location, and he can be a good pitcher.

YOUNG UP AND COMERS

Erik Davis, UTIL, 2016 ... Started all but two games as a freshman. The 6-foot 180 pound sophomore has a chance to become a very talented ballplayer.

OUTLOOK:  

Coach Barnum and the Bulldogs have a difficult task ahead of them in the NBC. The NBC is loaded with talented teams including Lake, Eastwood, Genoa and Otsego. However, Rossford looks to improve throughout the season and possibly knock off some of the top teams in NW Ohio.
