As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:

Andy Burnett returns for his second year as Head Coach of the Trojans. Last season the Trojans finished with a 7-17 overall record and were .500 in Hoosier Heartland conference play.  With the returning players this spring and the incoming talent, Burnett and the Trojans are looking forward to a successful season where they hope to compete for both a HHC and sectional championship. Senior Jade Pickett will be one the senior leaders for this year's Trojans team.  Pickett is expected to split time between the mound and 1B.  Another senior leader, Josh Murdock, returns as the team's catcher. Senior's Ben Puckett and Ethan Morgan both return for their final season with the Trojans.  Puckett is a 6-foot-1, 165 pound RHP expected to contribute in relief and also see time in the field.  The 6-foot-3, 185 pound Morgan will look to contribute on both sides of the field. Sophomore Colby Malson will split time between the mound and SS in his second season while freshman Austin McCullough, a multi-positional player, should make his way into the lineup this spring and contribute.
