OUTLOOK:  

Triad lost several starters from last year's team, but remain strong up the middle with Tre McIntyre behind the plate and his younger brother Trent at shortstop. The younger McIntyre, who went 4-3 last season as a freshman, will pair with Cincinnati recruit LHP Doug Lowe, who went 8-0 with a .072 ERA last season, as the top two pitchers in the rotation. The key for Coach Nichols' squad will be the emergence and maturation of the new faces in the starting lineup.
