TOP PLAYERS (Coach’s Comments)

Jay Poullard, 2015:  OF, R/R, 5'10"/170 lbs, Committed to Kentucky State. Jay batted in the lead off spot for us last year as he hit .415 on the year.  His OBP was .510 and hit .375 with runners in scoring position.  I look forward to having Jay back in the lineup (Profile and Video on PBR site)

Kyle Riesenberg, 2015:  3B, SS, P, R/R, 6'4"/175 lbs, Uncommitted. Kyle was one of our best defensive players last year starting at 3B the whole year.  He was also used as a closer with a 2-0 record and also had 2 saves while posting a 2.43 ERA.  Kyle will compete for the shortstop position this year and will be one of our leaders that we will count on! Jack McCreery, 2015:  C, R/R, 5'10"/185 lbs, Committed to University of Northwestern Ohio. Jack was in a tough spot last year as we had two very good senior catchers (Alex Jones playing at Morehead).  Jack did an excellent job on the JV level and I look forward to him being our everyday catcher this year.  Jack will be one of our better hitters on the team as he has the ability to really drive the baseball. Jordon Adell, 2017:  OF, P, R/R, 6'3"/205 lbs, Committed to University of Louisville. Jordon has an unbelievable gift to do so many different things on the baseball field.  He totaled 7 HR's for us last year as a Freshman while hitting .300 on the year.  He also posted a 3.20 ERA on the mound with his fastball sitting 88-89.  Jordon is an exceptional talent and he will be counted on to be a major contributor for us this year. Jack Dillon, 2015:  P, OF, L/L, 6'2"/165 lbs, Committed to Depauw University. Jack has been our go to guy on the mound for the past two years and I don't see it will be any different this year.  He throws 4 pitches for strikes and understands the game very well.  Jack went 8-2 last year with a 2.80 ERA pitching against the best competition on our schedule.  Jack has always been a guy we can count on and his consistency over the past two years has been great.

Tyler Horsley, 2016: P,OF, R/R, 6'3"/195 lbs, Uncommitted. Tyler is a guy who is going to turn some heads this year.  Fastball has been 85-87 with an above average curveball. (Profile and Video on PBR site)

Brandon Wilson, 2015:  P, L/L, 6'3"/210 lbs, Uncommitted. Brandon is a kid that will turn some head and will be a great get for which ever college gets him.  He has made a jump in his velocity to 83-84 with the potential for more gain this spring.  He will be one of our guys we will count on this year. Notable Losses

Trevor Putzig - Tennessee Tech
Nick Nonos - Webster University
ALex Jones - Morehead State University

According to the Coach

This is such a great group of young men to be around.  They work hard, have good attitudes, and have talent.  I look forward to watching them come together as a team this year because I think we have the potential to have a special year.  If we can come together as a team and play team baseball, the sky is the limit for this group.  We have individuals that can play, but as a team, we are balanced throughout.  We have an older veteran group of guys that will help lead the younger players that we need to count on this year.  Both our district and region will be very competitive this year and I look forward to competing against the best competition in the state.
