According to the Coach

Our strengths will be our defense and our overall depth. We will dress roughly 15 on the varsity, and there will be competition at every position. We should be a better hitting team than we were last year. Our team batting average last year was .243. I expect our team average to be much better this year. Our overall team speed should be better as well. We look to play small ball a little more than the past, and put pressure on the defense as much as possible.

Our biggest question mark will be our pitching staff. We only return 1 pitcher who has proven himself at the varsity level. We have a few guys we're excited about, but they'll need to develop in order to help us on the mound. We only have 2 seniors, so leadership is a question mark as well. We'll be a young, inexperienced team again this year, so we'll need to grow up quickly in order to compete in our district and region.

We play in a tough district with Meade and Hancock, but we're looking to compete for the district title this year. I'd say Meade is the favorite, as they return more than both us and Hancock. Daviess, Grayson, Apollo, Ohio, Catholic and Meade are probably the top 6 teams in the 3rd region this year. We've got a ways to go in order to compete with any of those teams, but we like the nucleus of our team.
