With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Michigan is eagerly anticipating bringing the great state of Michigan the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Flat Rock Rams

Team Name: Flat Rock Rams
Head Coach: Steve Ernest, 14-19
Division: II
2015 Record: 14-19
Conference Record: Huron League, 6-7
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/2

• Overall depth
• Scoring runs

Coach Outlook: We have a good mix of seniors and underclassmen. Our solid starting pitching should lead to a successful season. We should be competitive in every game.

• Josh Green, SS/RHP, 2016, 5’9” 160, three year starter, Owen College commit, .495 BA, 1.03 ERA
• Jordan Moore, C/RHP, 2016, 5’11” 190, transfer from Florida
• Seth Bogataj, 3B, 2018, 6’2” 180, returning starter as a freshman, .368 BA, 106 AB
• Jacob Mayer, OF/LHP, 2017, 5’10” 165, 2.08 ERA, 31 IP

Top Underclassmen:

• Jake Green, 2B, 5’9”, solid hitter and fielder, will also pitch
• Nick Kopp, CF/LHP, 5’11”, solid fielder and hitter, led JV in hitting last year
• Chad Tamsen, OF/RHP, 6’2”, solid utility player, good hitter, strong arm
