POTENTIAL EXPECTATIONS:
There is depth on the bump and the Mustangs always seem to be sound fundamentally on the defensive side.  As this part of their game goes, so go the Mustangs.  It could be a big year if the offense gets hot late in the year.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
The pitching staff will be leaned on heavily to begin the year.  They will throw strikes and they will attack the strike zone.  Coach Hightower will have some options and should be able to mix and match his staff against stronger offensive units.

AREAS TO IMPROVE:
One big question is where will the runs come from.  Will this be a club that depends on big hits and big innings or will they be able to grind a run an inning throughout the year.  As the Mustangs find their identity on the offensive end, this club could pose a hard out in May.
