With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Michigan is eagerly anticipating bringing the great state of Michigan the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in Mid-February, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 SPRING TEAM PREVIEW: Walled Lake Western

2019 Team Strengths:

• Starting Pitching

Coach Outlook: "Noah Megyesi (2020) returns as a three-year varsity starter. Megyesi will serve as the team's number-1 pitcher (RHP), starting shortstop and will hit in 2 or 3-hole. Chase Cummins (2021) returns for his sophomore campaign after picking up 2 varsity wins as a freshman. Aidan Jennings (2019), a CMU football commit (kicker) returns and will play 3B and hit fourth or fifth in the lineup. Ben Lewis is back as the team's starting catcher and will be called upon offensively as well. Tyler Hieber (2019) and Eric Koperski (2019) are back and both will see time in the outfield and will also throw some innings for Western. Jacob George (2021), Alex Fredin (2021) and Cam Kinaia (2021) will also be expected to contribute both offensively and defensively for the Warriors with Fredin throwing some innings on the mound."
