PLAYER NOTES

Charles Becker, RHP, 2027

Strong frame with good athleticism in frame and more to add on with big time projection at 6-2 182 pounds.  Shorter arm action with a lower ¾ slot that was able to keep hitters off balance while mixing in 3 pitches for strikes.  Fastball showed good life to it while sitting 80-83 mph with some tailing action to it.  Curveball created some swing and mix while sitting 65-67 mph.  Mixed in a change up as well at 65-67 mph with good downward action to it.

Cooper DeVries, RHP, 2027

Big strong physical frame with present strength at 6-2 183 pounds.  Coming out of the bullpen in a big situation and firing bowling ball sinkers and attacking the hitters.  Showed big time extension the mound and created tons of swing and misses while also getting tons of balls beat into the ground.  Fastball was 83-87 mph with spin at 1400-1700 rpms.  Big time performance out of the bullpen for this young man and dominating the hitters.

Cody Branham, C/INF, 2027

One of the biggest swings of the night with the team down 2-0 delivered a big time 3 run bomb with an exit velo of 93 mph and a distance of 349 feet.  Swing showed big time bat speed with quick loose hands while really doing a good job of firing his lower half.  Behind the plate did a really good job of receiving the ball and stealing strike.  Showed good agility while showing the ability to block multiple balls in the dirt.

Jackson Meyers, C, 2027

Big time at bat tonight with the bases loaded and the game tied at 3, Jackson smoked a ball deep to LCF for a 2 RBI double.  Jackson shows a great plate approach while laying off balls out of the zone and looking to get his swing off on balls over the plate.  Swing is short while working through the ball.  Had the night off behind the plate but shows the ability to really block and receive along with good footwork and exchanges.

Graham Coleman, INF, 2027

Athletic frame at 5-10 168 pounds.  Really solid day going 2-2 with a walk.  Came out being very aggressive with the bat while drilling both balls for hard singles.  Doing a really good job of finding the barrel but also staying within himself and not doing too much.  Showed good clean actions in the infield with the ability to bounce around multiple spots in the infield.
