Earlier this week, we updated the 2025 Player Rankings in Texas. Today, we take a deeper look at the update by focusing on 5 players who are new to the rankings.

FULL RANKINGS

TOP 10 BREAKDOWN

+ RISERS

+ Cooper Fulbright - RHP - Strake Jesuit - Texas A&M Commit - #9

The recent Texas A&M commit is another projectable hard throwing righty. Fulbright, who is a recent Future Games Participant, has one of the highest upside arms in the class. The 6’1 righty has a high waist with plenty of projection left on the frame.  His fastball will get into the low 90’s and sit upper 80’s. He features 3 offspeed pitches that all project to avg. or better.  He has the slower 12 to 6 curveball that he throws in the lower 70’s. It has great depth and he can spin it 2800+ rpm’s.  His other breaking ball is a slider that he throws in the 78-79 range.  It is more of the sweeping variety, and  it generated a lot of weak swings at future games.  He also flashes a changeup that shows real potential.  He doesn’t have to throw it often now, but when he does he shows the ability to throw it with conviction and good arm speed. Fulbright is more control over command right now but as that continues to improve we could see him continue to rise.

David Ramirez - LHP - Clear Falls - #21

Ramirez burst onto our radar this summer when video of the Lefty started to get out. The sophomore has a repeatable, low effort delivery with a high ¾ arm slot. The fastball sits in the upper 80’s and has topped out at 90 mph.  He has excellent command of it for his age, especially on the outer half to the glove side.  He also shows the feel for a sweeping breaking ball that should be useful against both righties and lefties.  Ramirez made a big name for himself this summer, and is a must watch moving forward.

Cayden Mitchell - 3B/RHP - Mansfield Timberview #22

Standing 6-1 180-pounds, Mitchell is an ultra athletic ball player that shows natural hitter instincts. Playing mostly third base, Mitchell provides a strong arm and natural athleticism to play on the left side of the dirt. In the box, Mitchell starts from an athletic setup, showing a flat swing allowing him to hit line drives to all parts of the field. Mitchell also showcases his athleticism on the mound where he has been up to 89mph in the past, with a clean delivery. At Future games, Mitchell showed off a well rounded skill set and an upside that few can match. He showed a high baseball IQ and got better everyday we were out there.

The first word you think of when watching Williams play is Athlete. The 2 sport star has some of the best athleticism in the state regardless of class.  The LHH OF has true game-changing speed, being clocked sub 4 down the line in game.  His swing currently fits his game of hitting it on the ground and letting the run tool do its thing, but he flashes the ability to hit the ball over the OF’s head all over the field. He should be able to stick in CF long term and have plus range. The Galveston product also stars as a Safety on the gridiron, and that aggressive nature carries over to the diamond.

Grayson Youngblood - MIF/RHP - Victoria East - #44

Standing 5-foot-9, 160-pounds, Youngblood packs a punch at the plate. The uncommitted SS shows a compact flat stroke that showed bat speed and the ability to backspin the baseball on a line. Youngblood also showed natural instincts in the field with quality hands and feet around the ball and showing plenty of arm strength to throw across the diamond. Will be a must follow  moving forward.
