April 1st Daily Game Roundup



Indiana Roundup – April 1 

#3 Jeffersonville 9 Louisville Trinity 2 – Trent Astle got the win throwing six innings allowing just two hits and striking out nine. Josh Burke drove in two runs for Jeff and Drew Ellis had two hits one for a triple. 

#9 Greenwood 10 Ensworth (TN) 2 

#11 Andrean 12 Lowell 0 – Zac Ryan got the win on the mound striking out nine. 

#24 Columbus East 2 Austin 1 – East trailed 1-0 going into the fifth but got RBI from Jordan Johnson and Sam Claycamp in the inning to take the lead for good. Cam Curry got the win going three innings allowing just one hit and striking out five. Yates Burkhart got a no decision throwing four innings allowing two hits, an unearned run, and striking out eight. 

#25 Norwell 6 South Adams 5 

Munster 11 Merrillville 5 – Munster scored ten runs in their last two at bats to get away with a win. Kevin O’Brien got the win throwing the last three innings allowing just three hits and no runs. Alo Morado led the way for Munster going 3-3 with three RBI and a run. Sean McCarthy also had a good game going 2-3 with three RBI. Joe Jumonville was 3-5 with a double and a RBI. 

Riverton Parke 5 Fountain Central 4 – Tyler Lowe got the win throwing all seven innings allowing five hits and striking out nine. Brian Obenchain led the offense going 2-3 with a homerun. 

LaPorte 3 SB Washington 0 – Evan Miller got the win throwing a complete game shutout allow just two hits while striking out 11. Chase Ruiz and Noah Krueger each went 2-3 with a double, Krueger also drove in a run. 

North Putnam 22 Greencastle 14 – Putnam had three big innings that led to their win; a seven run first, a nine run third, and a four run fourth. North Putnam had multi RBI games from seven different players. Coy Flynn was 2-4 with four RBI, Michael Herrman was 2-5 with three RBI, Jordan Nauert doubled and drove in three, and Kyle Jeter was 1-2 with three RBI. Jake Haste had the most hits in the game going 3-4 with two RBI. 

Lafayette Central Catholic 9 Tri-County 5 – LCC managed to get the win while only recording five hits in the game. Evan Kennedy was 1-3 with two RBI and Jake Churchill was 1-2 with three run scored. Nigel Hensley, Andrew Hubertz, and Ryan DeBoy each drove in a run in the win. 

Chatard 11 Guerin Catholic 3 – Thomas Barbara got the win on the mound going 4.1 innings allowing three runs on five hits and striking out three. Max Taylor had a big day at the plate going 4-5 with a double, triple, three RBI, and three runs scored. Brian Ball was 2-4 with a triple, two RBI, and three runs and Michael Annee was 3-4 with a RBI and a run. 

Chesterton 14 Hammond Gavit 3 – Aery Pratt got the win throwing three innings allowing no runs and just two hits while striking out six, he also doubled and drove in three runs at the plate. Andrew Ralph and Mike Crowley were both 2-2 in the game with two RBI, Ralph scored three times and Crowley scored once. Brandon Roeske was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs. 

Seeger 11 Benton Central 1 – Chandler White threw all six innings to get the win, allowing one run on four hits and striking out 10. Alex Mull had a big day at the plate going 2-23 with two doubles and three RBI. Avery Action was 3-4 with a double, two RBI, and two runs, Jake Fell was 2-4 with a double and two RBI, and Dakota Ware was 2-2 with a RBI and three runs. 

Plainfield 4 Evansville Reitz 1 – Connor Mitchell got the win going four innings without giving up a hit and striking out seven. Matt Spaulding and Gabe Burkhardt led the offense. Spauling was 2-2 with a triple, RBI, and a run scored and Burkhardt was 2-4 with a double and a RBI. Hunter Smith also drove in a run and scored. 

South Central (Union Mills) 11 Westville 9 – Strudy led the offense for South Central going 2-4 with two RBI and two runs. Josh Mohlke drove in three and Seth Carlson drove in two and scored twice. For Westville Alex Quinn was 4-4 with two RBI and Eric Quinn was 3-4 with four RBI. 

Rising Sun 10 Lawrenceburg 9 – Brandon Turner led the offense going 4-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored. Ryan Dugan tripled, drove in three runs, and scored three times. David Huber drove in two and Austin Armstrong drove in one. 

Cloverdale 11 South Putnam 1 – Justin Wilson threw all five innings allowing just one run on two hits and striking out five. Cody Carter led the offense going 3-3 with two doubles, three RBI, and two runs. Will Anderson and Austin Mannan were both 2-4 in the game, Mannan tripled, scored three times, and drove in a run. Tyler Carter also had two RBI in the game. 

Heritage Hills 11 Lansing Catholic (MI) 1 – Heritage Hills jumped on the board early with a six run first inning. Torrin Madden got the win throwing 3.1 innings allowing just one hit and striking out five. Dugan Kippenbrock led the offense going 3-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Cory Ebelhar and Kenton Crews each went 2-2 in the game with two RBI and two runs scored. 

Terre Haute North 8 Shakamak 1 – Zach Milam and Cody Maloon each went 2-4 with a RBI and two runs to lead the offense. Gabe Sevigny and Jonathan Eilbracht each had two hits in the game and Sam Wolf doubled and drove in two runs. Wolf also got the win throwing three innings allowing four hits and striking out five.
