Scores and highlights from around the state, highlighted by two impressive wins by No.3 Saint Xavier.  The Tigers defeated two PBR Ohio Division I Power 25 teams in No.16 Cincinnati Saint Xavier and No.18 Cincinnati Elder.

EKU recruit Taylor Blair doubled and homered in the loss for LCA.

Murray State recruit Hunter Johnson was the hard luck losing pitcher, allowing 4 hits with 7 K’s in his 7 innings of work.

(No.9) Collins 10  Gallatin County 1
Zac Wiley tripled, and Dan Sanders added 2 hits and a double as Collins remained undefeated.  David Decker allowed just 2 hits and racked up 10 K’s in his 6 innings of work to record the win.

Forrest Baldwin racked up 11 K’s in 5 2/3 innings.  Sam Hall and Jarryd Settles each collected 2 hits in the winning cause.

The Indians broke a tie game with a run in the 5th inning and held on for the win.  Joseph Holbrook had 2 hits.  Austin Templeton picked up the win by throwing 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Kipp Moore homered, and Kam Bruner collected 2 hits.  Dillon Boone picked up the win by throwing 3 innings of scoreless relief.

Ryle 12  Bryan Station 0 (5 innings)
Dylan Plvan hit his second HR of the season, and Thomas Baumann added a triple.  Josh Bellew went the distance for the shutout victory.  Ryle is now 6-0 on the season and knocking on the door of the PBR Power 25.

DeSales 13  Thomas Nelson 3 (5 innings)
Andrew Beckmann went 2-3 and scored 3 runs, and Clint Thompson added 2 hits and 2 RBI. 

Bullitt Central 7  DeSales 2
Cody Powell doubled and drove in 2 runs, and Ben Parker added a triple.  Parker also went the distance on the mound for the complete game win.

Corbin 6  Walhalla (SC) 5
Derek Terry stroked 3 hits, and Kevin Goins went the distance on the mound to pick up the win for Corbin.

Bardstown 8  Valley 2
Dillan O’Daniel homered, and Matt Bond pitched 7 strong innings for the complete game victory.

Taylor County 4  Doss 1
Will Hollingsworth doubled twice, and Tyler Frogge added 2 hits to lead Taylor County.  Jordan Nicholas racked up 8 K’s in going the distance to pick up the win.

Taylor County 3  Whitfield Academy 2
John Wood went 2-3 with an RBI to lead Taylor County.  Justin Hazel scattered 4 hits and racked up 10 K’s in going the distance for the win.

Atherton 13  Breckinridge County 8
Nate DeNicola drove in 4 runs as Atherton banged out 15 hits en route to the victory.

Danville 9  Mason County 6
Will Graham had 2 hits and 2 RBI, and Jack Graham stroked a big 2-run double.  Hamilton young threw 4 solid innings in relief.

Lee County (GA) 5  Franklin County 4
Quenton Brownlee collected 3 hits in the loss for Franklin County.

Centennial (GA) 10  Franklin County 7
Conner Brown stroked 2 doubles in the loss for Franklin County.

Mercer County 6  Butler 0
Mercer County used a 6 run third inning to record the win over Butler.  JT Long had 2 hits, and Russell Sims added a 2-run triple.  Jon Banks scattered 7 hits and racked up 12 K’s in going the distance for the win.

Vero Beach 8  Greenup County 4
Seth Boyle had 2 hits, and Tristan Downing drove in 2 runs in the loss for Greenup County.

South Oldham 11  DuPont Manual 8
Drew Greenwood had 3 hits as South Oldham banged out 13 to win the slugfest.

Lincoln County 5  Mason County 1
Nolan Sanders and Taner Leigh had 2 hits apiece, and Logan Young picked up the win.  Young scattered 4 hits and racked up 7 K’s in going the distance.

Morgan County 11  Elliott County 0 (5 innings)
Ryan Hanson doubled and drove in 2 runs.  Larrin Collins picked up the win, allowing 1 hit with 5 K’s in 3 innings of work.

Cumberland County 10  Metcalfe county 0 (5 innings)
Trent Thomas drove in 3 runs as Metcalfe County cruised to the victory.  Larry Johnson tossed 4 scoreless innings to pick up the win.

Bethlehem 5  Fairdale 1
Chance Bodine and Jimmy Keating both doubled in the victory as Bethlehem put up 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning.  Alan Webb recorded the win, throwing 2 scoreless innings of relief.

Rossview (TN) 9  Logan County 1
Ian Woodall and Joe Holliday each had 2 hits in the Logan County loss.

Montgomery County 9  Andrews 0
Evansville recruit Sam Lee doubled, tripled, and drove in 2 runs, and Chas Newkirk added 2 hits and a triple to lead Montgomery County.  Hobie Hall scattered 3 hits over 6 innings to pick up the win.

Russellville 15  Trinity (Whitesville) 2 (5 innings)
Barrett Croslin went 4-5 with 2 doubles, a triple, and 3 RBI, and Zach Denney went 4-4 with a double and triple to lead Russellville.  Denney also picked up the win, striking out 9 in his 4 innings on the mound.

Zach Denney had his second 4 hit game of the day, doubling twice with 4 RBI.  George Collins added 3 hits in the victory.
