Cangelosi High School Fall League - Week 3

Varsity: RED vs. Silver

Game 1:

SILVER – 4
RED – 4

On the mound for the RED team, Purdue commit Jack Sokol (New Albany) pitched 4 strong innings, racking up 6 strikeouts. At the plate, Jack Sokol and first baseman Thomas Jenkins (Centerville) each collected a double.

Game 2:

RED – 7
SILVER – 7

RED team pitcher Mike Sokol (New Albany) threw 4 innings, collecting 3 strikeouts, while Ethan Swincicki (New Albany) threw one inning, collecting 2 strikeouts.

For the SILVER team, Derek Foe (Johnstown Monroe) finished the day with 2 doubles and 4 RBI’s. Ben Stevens (Canal Winchester) and Miami commit Nate Stone (Granville) each had doubles and 2 RBI’s. Both Hunter Moffatt (Buckeye Valley) and Nick Lapham (Dublin Jerome) threw strong innings, each collecting 2 strikeouts.

Varsity: BLUE vs. BLack

Game 1:

BLUE – 2
BLACK – 4

Luke Barnhart (Grove City) and Jaxon Snyder (Mt. Vernon) led the BLACK team in game 1, each with RBI singles. Philip Lockwood (Tri-County North) put together a really nice outing on the mound, racking up 10 strikeouts in 5 innings pitched.

For the BLUE team, infielder Patrick Custer (Hilliard Bradley) led the BLUE team with 2 hits, including a double. Both Ryan Eatherton (Hilliard Darby) and Evan Thompson (Dublin Coffman) collected RBI singles. On the mound for the BLUE team, Nick Falter (Olentangy Liberty) threw 2 solid innings, collecting 3 strikeouts.

Game 2:

BLACK – 2
BLUE – 6

In game 2, four players on the BLUE team had multi-hit games: Patrick Custer (Hilliard Bradley), Ryan Mayr (Hilliard Davidson), Evan Thompson (Dublin Coffman) and Austin Rice (Talawanda). On the mound, Nolan Creasap (Jonathan Alder) pitched two solid innings, racking up 2 strikeouts.

For the BLACK team, Mount Vernon Nazarene commit Noah Gleason (Mt. Vernon) had a huge double, pulling in 2 RBI’s. Both Cade Leach (East Knox) and Dalton Planck (Hilliard Bradley) collected hits as well in game 2.
