British Columbia Insider: Class of 2020 Prospects To Keep Eye On

With summer coming into full swing, we take a look at the future in BC and some of the 2020’s who are beginning to make a name for themselves and will be high school juniors who should garner a lot of attention moving forward.

Vic Domingo RHP / 3B / Saint Thomas More Collegiate, BC / 2020

Report: Domingo is a current two-way player with tools on both sides of the baseball. On the mound, the right-hander works in the 83-85 range right now and spins his breaking ball well with downward action and depth. At the plate, omingo does not get cheated as there is bat speed and present strength while he stays under control and gets the barrel out front. Arm plays on left side of the infield, and hands and feet stay together, projects more of a third baseman as he grows and gets bigger, Domingo is a definite follow for college coaches and one to watch closely as he continues his development.

Giordano Mezzomo 1B / LHP / Centennial, BC / 2020

Report: Another two-way player out of the Coquitlam Reds organization, Messomo is a left/left guy who has juice in his bat that mixes well with his arm on the mound with a mid 80’s heater and advanced breaking ball for his age at the moment. The swing gets on plane with small uphill angle, he can drive the ball to his pull side and he does not get cheated. The actions are clean on the mound, arm works and there is lots of upside with this 2020 grad. Must follow for college coaches.

Aaron Marsh 2B / 3B / Nanaimo District, BC / 2020

Report: 5-foot-9 160-pound uncommitted second baseman from the Mid Island Pirates is natural ball player showing great instincts attacking balls in the infield. Marsh ran a 7.03-second 60 at the BC Open and that speed helps him move in the infield getting to balls and making tough plays look routine. He showed quick hands on the day on his double play turns as well. Hits from the left-side, Marsh hits more with a contact and line drive approach, will go the other way and should add more strength as he matures. Plays the game with an aggressiveness and dirtbag type mentality.

Jack Yaremko OF / RHP / Moscrop, BC / 2020

Report: Toolsy 2020 grad that ran a 6.95 60-Yard at the BC Open ID with regular effort. Actions all play with a swing from the left side that is short and compact and sprayed line drives across the diamond. On the mound, the arm works and has good tempo to delivery, pitches with energy and was in the low 80’s with his heater, mixing in a curveball that he showed feel for spinning it. There will be increase in his velo over time as Yaremko is on the right track and we expect him to keep getting better and add to his already impressive tool set for a 2020.
