Colorado Midseason Check-In: Players Flying Under the Radar

Over the last few days we took a look at some Players with Standout Performances that are off to good starts this year at the half-way mark of the season. We took a look at  Teams on the Rise, and we took a look at Teams that are Flying Under the Radar. Today we focus on some players who are flying under the radar in 2016.

Mike Berg, C, Thompson Valley, 2017
The 5-foot-9, 175 pound junior is hitting .560 this season leading 4A with 6 homeruns which is 2nd in 4A. He has also driven in 23 RBI's for the Eagles, and is a big reason they have won 5 straight games.

John Bull, SS, Classical Academy, 2018
5-foot-9, 175 pounds. The two sport athlete (football) is tearing up Colorado Springs. He is currently hitting .680 which is 2nd in 4A. Bull also has 10 doubles, 28 runs, and 25 RBI's at the half way point, and is a big reason the Titans are 10-3 on the season.

Jordan Chapell, LHP, Palmer, 2017
5-foot-11, 150 pounds. The left-handed pitcher is leading 5A with 5 wins. Chapell has already thrown 32 innings, and has a 1.73 ERA while striking out 35 batters. Chapell is also hitting .355 with 11 RBI's.

Nathan Dill, 1B, Fort Collins, 2017
6-foot-2, 170 pounds. Dill is tearing up 5A pitching right now hitting .615 for the Lambkins. The Junior is also the No. 2 pitcher for the Lambkins, and currently has a 2 and 1 record with a 1.98 ERA. The Lambkins are currently 9 and 2 and are 4 and 1 in the very competitive Front Range League.

Davin Jacobs, OF/P, Lamar, 2018
5-foot-11, 200 pounds. The sophomore is helping lead Lamar to another winning spring campaign. Jacobs is currently hitting .493 for the Savages and is a big reason they are 12 and 1. Jacobs also has 22 RBI's which is tied for the 3A state lead. Jacob is also helping on the mound pitching 6 innings striking out 10 and posting a 1.05 ERA.

Judah Wilbur, 2B, Denver North, 2017
Wilbur is off to a great start in 2016. He is currently hitting .688 which is leading 4A. Wilbur also has 8 doubles and 18 RBI"s on the season for the Vikings. A 5-foot-11, 145-pound right hand hitting 2B/SS who ran a 7.37 60.  Balanced at the plate with a high leg kick and long stride on the pitch.  He shows good lower leg drive and good extension out front on contact.  He had an 87 MPH exit velocity off the tee.  In the field he is athletic with smooth actions on balls left and right. Liked his actions in the field.  He has a quick transfer and accurate arm from high 3/4 arm slot. His arm velocity was 74 MPH across the diamond at the Preseason All-State on 2/28.
