Dylan Gavin, 3B, Pueblo East (Sioux Falls, S.D., commit)

6-foot-3, 210-pound, long, lanky athletic frame. Very solid player/athlete on the field. Very strong arm with accuracy. Gives good target as a cutoff on balls thrown from outfield. Fields ball in front of body.  Good arm angle on double play turns.  Was 2-for-5 in Thursday's game with a line-drive single into left field and a blooper into short left field with a drawn-in infield. Played error free ball in the field with four putouts, including a couple long throws from deep behind third base.

Ryan Laydon, P, Pueblo East (Lamar CC commit)

5-foot-11, 175 pound, average frame. Left-hander who works extremely fast. Wants the ball back from the catcher and is ready to throw. Has smooth windup and is consistent when throwing off-speed pitches in comparison to his fast ball. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot and isn't afraid to throw curve ball and change up on any count. Throws in the high 70s to low 80's.

Cory Voss, C, Pueblo South (New Mexico commit)

5-foot-11, 180-pound pound, solid, athletic frame. Strong arm from a low arm slot. On Thursday had a 1-for-3 day that included two walks. Has a good eye and doesn't swing at a lot of pitches outside the zone. He's a better than average runner for a catcher.

Jarod Baros, P, Pueblo South (2015)

6-foot-2, 175-pound, athletic frame. Hard-throwing right-hander (lows 80s) with consistent motion. Tends to fall in love with his fast ball at times and could use off-speed more often.  Has good upside with a lively arm and good body. Fields his position very well. As a hitter, he had a big day on Thursday. An aggressive swinger, he was 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in the first inning, a double in the third and an infield single in the fifth. Lined out to left field in the sixth. Has above average speed as a runner.
