PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
FISHER: I chose DMACC because it seemed the best for me in making the transition from high school to college. They have a good program and develop players well with a great coaching staff.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
FISHER: South Dakota State, Minnesota State, Upper Iowa, and Indian Hills.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
FISHER: I believe they first saw me at a PBR showcase in Cedar Rapids at Mount Mercy. They talked with Dave Conrad who told me to give them a call. After that we stayed in touch and it took off from there.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
FISHER: There is definitely a lot of pressure off me and my parents shoulders. The recruiting process can be very stressful. Now that I know where I'll be going I can just relax and play baseball.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
FISHER: The coaching staff was one of the main deciding factors for me. A small campus with a Division 1 coaching group developing guys into D1 players was almost a no-brainer for me.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
I owe a lot of the credit to the Iowa Sticks organization and David Conrad for helping through the recruiting process as well as developing me into the player I am. I mostly have to give credit to my parents for supporting me through the process as it can be very stressful and overwhelming.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
Going into the recruiting process I didn't really know what to expect but I soon learned there is a lot of responsibility that comes with being a recruit. It probably wasn't as difficult as I thought it was or made it seem but it definitely wasn't a cake walk.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
FISHER: I think they like me behind the plate mostly. I'm not for sure what playing time will look like. Hopefully I will be able to get a few innings here and there throughout the fall and possibly the season but whatever they tell me is what I'll do.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
FISHER: My most memorable baseball moment to date would be spiking fastballs and watching Jack Luster try to block them in the Indiana Tournament.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
FISHER: My high school conference isn't super competitive so the best competition I get is playing with the Sticks. I don't really know the kids I play but it always seems like us and the Nebraska Prospects organization go at it. I would say they are the best competition I have competed against.
