PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Bosacker: Xavier fit everything I am looking for in a school… outstanding education, successful program, and a great coaching staff that I connect with.  Xavier was the entire package.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Bosacker: University of Minnesota, Bradley, Indiana State, Ball State, Wofford, Augustana

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Bosacker: They happened to be at my first club tournament in this summer when I was playing with GRB in Joliet, IL. We had an immediate connection and they were one of my first offers. They came to every single one of my club games after that... they’ve been very supportive and are such great guys who I respect so much already.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Bosacker: I am definitely relieved and feel very fortunate to have found the right fit with Xavier.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Bosacker: It really came down to the connection, environment and being able to picture myself at that school even if I wasn’t playing baseball.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Bosacker: I would say my dad has probably had the most influence in my baseball career. He is very knowledgeable about the game and has helped put together the right resources for me to best develop. Aside from that, I wouldn’t have the opportunities I’ve had without my club team coaches with GRB and Minnesota Mash. They gave me the tools and the opportunities to showcase my abilities against some of the best competition in the country.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Bosacker: I knew that it wasn’t going to be an easy process. Going into it, I promised myself that I would just focus on the game and competing to the best of my ability. The best part was developing relationships with some really awesome coaches who I would have been honored to play for. Letting them down was hard.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Bosacker: They expect me to come in, work hard, and hopefully become an impact player my freshman year.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Bosacker: Winning the 2017 VFW State Championship

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Bosacker: That’s a tough one… I had the opportunity to play against some unbelievably talented teams and players throughout this last summer.
