Crisler and Mateja shine for Bishop Noll

Hammond, IN--- Chad Mateja set the tone early for Bishop Noll in the first inning, striking out three Wheeler hitters and allowing one runner to reach base on an error. Mateja is a 5-foot-10 right handed pitcher who worked most of the night at 81-84 mph. He went on to strike out 11, giving up one hit in a complete game effort. Bishop Noll defeated Wheeler 6-2.
Offensively, Noll was led by rising junior Larry Crisler. Crisler finished the evening going 3-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Also contributing to the offense was 2013 Matt Sandoval and 2013 Julian Guerrero. The two of them combined for four hits, two RBI and two runs scored.
The win moves Noll to 13-2 and 8-0 in conference.
