Sylvan Hills High School 6 vs Valley View High School 5

Valley View HS traveled to Sylvan Hills HS to play a tough non-conference match up. Valley View jumped out to an early lead scoring 3 runs in the top of the first inning off of two hits, 1 error and 2 walks.

In the 2^nd Sylvan Hills answered back with 1 run on a sac fly from 2018 C Nick Farkouri.

Both pitchers settled in making quick work of their opponent in the third. In the top of the fourth Valley View padded their lead with a two out RBI single by 2015 MIF Tucker Hydric.

Sylvan Hills came back tied the game and went to extras before Joe Jo Craft scored on a single by Burrows to seal the victory.

Episcopal Collegiate 0 vs Benton Harmony Grove High School 9

Tyler Hamilton led the way for Benton Harmony Grove as he pitched a complete game shutout with 7 strike outs and allowed 3 hits. Hamilton had success due to his command. He commanded his fastball on both sides of the plate and threw his curveball for strikes in all counts.

Zach Caplinger and Logan Clay combined for six hits and 4 RBI’s to pace Benton Harmony Groves’ offense.  Blake Russell led the way for Episcopal going 1 for 1 with a walk on the day.  

Tonight’s game was a great experience for these players as they were able to play at Dickey Stephens Park. Dickey Stephens Park is home to the Arkansas Travelers, the double affiliate of the Anaheim Angels.
