No. 10 Conway HS 12 vs No. 9 Bentonville HS 5

No. 10 Conway HS defeated Bentonville HS with a score of 12-5. The game started with two of the top 2016 pitchers on the mound with RHP Kasey Ford starting for Bentonville and LHP Collin Cahill starting for Conway.
The first two innings went as expected with clean baseball and a pitchers dual well on it was well on its well. The pitchers combined for 0 runs, 0 hits and 6 strike outs. The third Conway scratched across 2 runs and Bentonville took advantage of Conway miscues scoring 5. The fourth was quiet with neither team scoring. Conway put the game in the top of 5th scoring 10 runs on 7 hits on 2 HBP and 1 BB. Scoring was quiet from that point forward. Bentonville challenged in the 6th , loading the bases but 2018 LHP Jordan Wicks worked out of the jam.
Brian Gloeckler led the way offensively for Bentonville with 2 hits, 1 double and an RBI. 2017’s  MIF Kolby Reck and Andrew Hreha led the way for going. Reck went 2 for 5 with 3 RBI’s and Hreha went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI’s off the bench.
Conway will be back in action today vs Heritage HS at 4:00 pm and Har-Ber HS at 7:00 pm. Bentonville will host Mountain Home HS at 5:00 PM today.
